Our
Mission
TEDxPensacola was founded in 2017, bringing ideas worth sharing to the Gulf Coast. Like so many things, COVID shut us down. In 2025, a new group of local volunteers brought it back.
We are an independent, community-driven platform for thinkers, builders, educators, and innovators whose ideas deserve wider visibility. Our mission is to reveal and elevate meaningful ideas through honest conversation and authentic community connection — fully independent, in the spirit of TED's mission of ideas worth spreading.
For 2026, we are intentionally starting close to home, featuring speakers from Pensacola and the surrounding region whose work has been hidden in plain sight.
This is not a limitation — it is a deliberate beginning.

While TEDx events are independently organized and operated under license from TED, they follow the same format: short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less) focused on ideas worth spreading.
